Mindfulness is about being open to what is without judgement, and awareness of your experience of reality in the present moment. Paying attention in a certain way cultivates the capacity for awareness to balance out thought. Emotion, pleasant and unpleasant, provides useful information. Mindfulness awakens your awareness of your inherent goodness and possibilities, as a way to create healthy, positive changes, and happens when we no longer turn away from what it is we wish to change. It involves learning skills that allow you to be less reactive, less judgemental, and open to engage with life from a place of authenticity and worthiness.
